James B. Kennedy

I am a mathematician, currently an assistant professor ("professor auxiliar com agregação") at the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, and a member of the research centre Grupo de Física Matemática (Group of Mathematical Physics, GFM), currently as vice-director.

I was previously (in reverse chronological order) a research fellow in Lisbon within in the scope of the program Investigador FCT 2015 of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Portugal (reference IF/01461/2015) from 2017 to 2020, a postdoc ("wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter") at the Institut für Analysis, Dynamik und Modellierung of the University of Stuttgart, Germany, from 2013 to 2017, a Humboldt Fellow at the Institut für Angewandte Analysis of Ulm University, Germany, from 2011 to 2013, and a postdoc at the Grupo de Física Matemática at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, from 2010 to 2011, after completing my PhD at the School of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Sydney, Australia, in 2010.

Here you can find my profiles on MathSciNet (subscription required), zbMATH Open, Google Scholar and ORCID, as well as my entry in the Mathematics Genealogy Project.
