Building Energy Analysis Group

Faculty of Sciences

The Building Energy Analysis Group (BEAG) studies building energy flows and its consequences in resource consumption and internal comfort using a combination of theoretical and experimental approaches.

The group includes faculty from the School of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (DEGGE) and PhD students funded by MIT Portugal and the Gulbenkian Foundation.

Current research projects include studying building related pathways for transition to a low carbon society, development of simplified models for low energy cooling, and fast response modelling tools for energy consumption prediction. The group is also involved in applied research and design projects as well as building energy audits.
