Nucleation

The main objective of my recent research is to develop a fundamental understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in nucleation and crystal growth processes. Within this scope, I focus on studying polymorphism and solvatomorphism in organic crystals [1-4], as well as the effect of solvents on the outcomes of crystallization processes [5-7]. My studies have revealed that the formation of different crystal structures is linked to the arrangement and interaction of solute molecules with the solvent during the early stages of the aggregation process [7,8].

Additionally, it has become clear that advances in understanding the crystallization process would greatly benefit from a microscopic view provided by theoretical studies. Consequently, I am currently engaged in developing innovative computational tools for analyzing the structure of liquids and solutions [9,10].
